Substack only, and screened for mainstream brand partnership. This maps the commercially partnerable part of independent publishing rather than cultural influence at large.
The open feed is saturated, the influencer economy is fully commercialized, and reach on a platform is still rented. For considered decisions, people increasingly rely on smaller, opt-in spaces: paid newsletters, private communities and named experts whose judgment they have chosen to receive.
The Culture Galaxy makes one of those trust systems visible. It shows which independent editors have meaningful owned reach, which other editors put their credibility behind them, and where an editorial partnership can enter the part of the journey where consideration is actually formed.
The directory defaults to Recommending publications, the raw count of unique analysis-frame publications recommending that editor. “Overall influence” sorts the composite score; “Cross-community reach” sorts the bridge measure. ✦ marks publications already known to Moonlight or sourced through women in Tennessee’s network.
